Your Initial Consultation
Your first visit will consist of a one-hour consultation and examination with your dentist. Any subsequent treatments, including cleanings, will be scheduled following your examination.
When you come to our centre for your appointment, you can park onsite, and then enter our attractive, modern and welcoming practice. Our friendly staff will greet you by name and offer you a seat in our patient lounge.
Then your dentist will welcome you into the treatment area. We have six treatment rooms that are state-of-the-art and decorated with beautiful artwork for your enjoyment. Our examination process is thorough and includes complete extraoral and intraoral evaluations, such as:
- Checking lymph nodes
- Oral cancer screening
- Evaluating your bite
- Assessing the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and musculature
- Checking for decay
- Looking for signs of reflux
- X-rays
- Photos
Your dentist will explain everything they find and have an open discussion with you about your goals and the potential impact of any problems they discovered. They’ll lay out treatment recommendations and answer any questions you may have. When you have agreed on a treatment plan, our reception staff will handle scheduling your subsequent visits.
Cleaning
Because we tailor care specifically to your individual needs and goals, we schedule cleaning as a separate appointment. Some people don’t need a clean at their initial consultation, while others require a lengthy and in-depth cleaning. By offering cleaning as a stand-alone treatment, we can give you the precise level of care you need, without wasting your time or money on treatment you may not require.

Depending on your specific needs and goals, your dentist may recommend one or more of our many dental services, which include:
- Stabilisation of loose dentures
- TMJ treatment
- Whitening
We also offer children’s dentistry, sedation and sleep dentistry, and complex restorations. All services will be fully explained at your first visit, including costs.
