Meet Samantha Elverd BHSc (OHT), ASDH
Creating relationships with her patients and helping them get past their dental anxieties is the most fulfilling part of Samantha Elverd’s job. She gets great joy at seeing patients progress over the years, from bad habits, like never flossing, to having excellent dental routines.
Sam counts herself as lucky to have found Mount Pleasant Dental Centre. After assisting Dr Scott for six years before pursuing her degree, she was happy to return in 2014 after receiving her bachelor’s degree.
While working in the Wheatbelt region for two years, she learned how important good quality services and staff can be. Her experience with the school service showed Sam the difference it can make in providing better health outcomes.
Education and Continuing Studies
Sam is a graduate of Curtin University, earning an Associate degree in Dental Therapy in 2010, and her Bachelor of Health Sciences degree in Oral Health Therapy in 2014.
She is passionate about preventative dentistry and has a special interest in providing children preventative and restorative treatment, making treatment easier, more comfortable and more enjoyable for our youngest patients.
She thoroughly enjoys attending continuing education courses, as improvements to dental techniques are happening all the time. To provide better care for our patients, it starts with learning and implementing the latest and greatest techniques and using the best products.
